SkyFor's president, Kathleen Chiras, got her broker's license in the early '90's and helped form the National Association of Exclusive Buyer Agents in 1994. Since then she has seen the growth of buyer representation and how much it benefits consumers. She is currently an active employing broker and is registered with the state of Colorado under her company name, SkyFor, Inc., license #1322345.
The entire staff of SkyFor, Inc. believe in systems of high integrity and the delivery of services in a way that best blends "high tech" and "high touch". We believe the internet has helped empower consumers, but that use of a buyer's agent is still the smartest and safest way to purchase real estate. We also believe that consumers should have access to the background information on the companies they select (years of experience, company philosophy, designations, etc.), and have an opportunity to provide feedback on the services they receive. These elements are all part of the SmartHomeSearch program offered by SkyFor, Inc.
Our brokerage participation program offers 50% back on the referral fees we receive.
SkyFor also contributes 10% of it's gross proceeds from the SmartHomeSearch web site to not-for-profit land conservation groups, for the purpose of returning a portion of our real estate purchases to habitat for other species. We currently support the Mountain Area Land Trust, located in Colorado, and ASANA, located in Costa Rica.
